Coverage spelled out plainly
Warranties That Outlast the Build.
Highland buildings are backed by manufacturer warranties on the materials that matter most — paired with our own workmanship guarantee.
Warranty tiers
- Card 1Lifetime
Lifetime Color Fade Warranty
Coverage: Sheathing color fade
Your barn will still look like the day it was built decades from now. Most builders offer 30–40 years on paint; the manufacturer-backed coverage we spec goes further.
- Card 250 yrs
50-Year Post Warranty
Coverage: Structural posts — rot, decay, and insect damage
Posts are the spine of a post-frame building. A failed post means a failed building. The post system we specify carries 50-year coverage — among the strongest in the industry.
- Card 340 yrs
40-Year Fastener Warranty
Coverage: Screws and fasteners against corrosion and pull-out failure
Stainless-steel hex-head fasteners hold your roof and walls together for decades. The fastener line we install is warrantied for 40 years against corrosion and pull-out.
- Card 41 yr
1-Year Workmanship Warranty
Coverage: All Highland-installed labor and installation defects
Real people, real warranty. The same project manager who quoted your build handles any warranty claim — no call-center handoff.
In writing, at project hand-off
Every warranty above is provided in writing at project completion — paper copy at walk-through and a PDF emailed to the address on the contract. You will always have something to point to.
Important warranty details
- Material warranties are passed through from the original manufacturer. Highland will help you file the claim with the manufacturer if a covered defect appears.
- Highland’s workmanship warranty covers labor and installation defects on work performed by Highland crews — substantial completion to substantial completion + 1 year.
- Warranty is voided if alterations, modifications, or repairs are performed by anyone other than Highland. Have a contractor at the property? Call us first.
- Coverage starts on the date of substantial completion (the day the building passes final walk-through and your project manager signs the completion form with you).
How to file a warranty claim
Step 1: Document the issue
Take photos and notes describing what is happening (cracking, sagging, leak, etc.) and the date you first noticed it.
Step 2: Contact Highland
Email or call us with your project address, your contact info, and the photos. We respond within one business day.
Step 3: On-site inspection
A Highland project manager visits to assess the issue and confirm it is covered under your warranty terms.
Step 4: Resolution
We provide a written remediation plan (repair, replace, or pass-through to manufacturer) and complete the work on a scheduled date.
